Agrifood Skills Australia conducted a detailed review of the literature on the articulation arrangements between VET and higher education and conducted case studies of institutions around Australia.

The study found a general lack of accessible and readily understandable information and no evidence of a consistent approach at admission level. However, better practice was noted in regional universities.

The study concluded that AgriFood could seek the views of industry stakeholders and then seek to create a national framework of the protocols for institutions for closer interconnections between VET and higher education.
